The More Things Change, The More Things Stay the Same
Recently, it became time for me to renew my passport. I got my original one back in April of 1997, so my new one comes almost ten years afterwards. In order to obtain it, I had to mail the old one in so it could be officially cancelled. I didn't think they would return it when they mailed me my new one, but they did. I guess what surprised me the most was that even with a span of ten years, the photos were eerily similar. The same pose. The same hair. The same expression.
I have the feeling I won't be able to say the same thing after another ten years.
